Advanced secure-chip testing provider, FIME, has established a testing infrastructure and conducted laboratory test services for the Discover contactless D-Payment Application Specification (D-PAS) products. The test framework will verify that these products meet robust security requirements, international industry standards and achieve global market interoperability. Using its expertise as an approved laboratory and test tool provider for the payments industry, FIME prepared a contactless D-PAS test specification for both chip-based payment cards and acceptance terminals.

DAB Bank Continues First Data Processing

First Data electronic commerce and payment processing renewed its processing contract with DAB Bank AG, a subsidiary of UniCredit Bank AG and part of UniCredit Group, for a further five years. First Data will continue to be responsible for delivering card processing services for DAB Bank AG’s MasterCard Classic, MasterCard Gold, MasterCard Platinum and MasterCard World Signia. First Data will also continue to provide a range of technical services for processing electronic payment transactions including account processing, authorizations, transaction processing, accounting and fraud prevention, as well as operational services such as contact centre services, emergency card replacement services and disputes handling for DAB Bank AG cardholders.

First Data Merchant Solutions direct-to-market merchant acquiring business and Diners Club International announced their merchant acquiring agreement. Allowing First Data Merchant Solutions to accept all cards on the Discover Global Network, including Diners Club and Discover transactions- alongside Visa, MasterCard and American Express- the agreement will be especially important to First Data Merchant Solutions customers in the travel, hospitality and entertainment sectors who service and supply international visitors to the UK. i-Free Advances mWallet

i-Free has unveiled new functionality in its “Wallet” mobile app, offering a contactless transport card can be loaded on “Wallet”. The same app will also be used to acquire, store and manage discount coupons. Using NFC technology and QR codes, “Wallet” is now officially available for 8 smartphone models from HTC and Philips. i-Free introduced Russia’s first fully functional NFC Wallet app, which comes built into smartphones, in May 2013. The app uses i-Free TSM (Trusted Service Manager) platform, which has been certified by MasterCard. The MasterCard certificate authorizes the remote issuance of Mobile MasterCard PayPass® payment cards to mobile phones anywhere in the world.
