FL-based PSCU Financial Services has topped 500,000 subscribers and 2.6 million bill payments per month for its “PayLynx” online bill payment service. PayLynx also boasts a greater percentage of active subscribers and higher rates of acceptance for electronic bill payment by billers than other providers of the CheckFree service. It is also launching online bill payment for small businesses in January. The cooperative was the first to offer “FraudNet”, a bill payment fraud detection and prevention tool and has developed innovative marketing materials that includes an online video designed to build consumer acceptance.
PSCU Financial Services has acquired Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) to become its business-to-business platform. The solution gives PSCU the ability to automatically handle a variety of multiple management credit and bill payment services in a variety of file formats and protocols on one centralized platform. Fairfax County Federal CU of Virginia is converting its signature, PIN and ATM debit programs to PSCU Financial Services’ “DebitAdvantage” and has signed a five-year contract extension for credit card processing services. Under the terms of the agreement, Fairfax County FCU will convert more than 11,000 signature, PIN and ATM debit card accounts to the DebitAdvantage platform and PSCU Financial Services will continue processing more than 4,100 credit card accounts for the $145 million, 18,000-member credit union. Pennsylvania-based Clearview FCU has signed a long-term agreement for PSCU Financial Services to provide processing support for the credit union’s signature, PIN and ATM debit programs and also signed a six-year contract extension for credit card processing services with PSCU. Under the terms of the agreement, Clearview FCU converted more than 76,000 signature, PIN and ATM debit card accounts to the DebitAdvantageTM platform and will continue the processing more than 26,000 credit card accounts for the $560 million, 73,000-member credit union. Denver-based Public Service Credit Union, with 16,000 credit card accounts and $35 million in outstandings, has partnered with MBNA. Public Service Credit Union is a not-for-profit, state-chartered, member-owned, financial institution with 80,000 members. MBNA has over 85 partnerships with credit unions.
