Huntington Bank began streamlining invoice and expense payment workflow processes using the MasterCard-branded Huntington commercial credit card. The card combines online card and data management tools and provides a unique monthly rebate payment. Introduced at a time when total estimated U.S. commercial card spend on indirect and direct purchasing will reach $200 billion in 2013, Huntington is now offering a comprehensive set of products for its award-winning treasury management services. This will improve working capital by paying suppliers but deferring cash outflow for up to 50 days, without a finance charge while rebate payments are available up to 13 months sooner than those provided by typical card issuers with annual or single rate scheduled rebates that usually pay out in February of the following year. Huntington’s monthly tiered rebate measure and payment structure is unique, giving customers the opportunity to more quickly pocket higher returns corresponding with monthly spikes in spend volume during the year.
NCR Corporation (NCR) announced an agreement for LevelUp to integrate their mobile payment and loyalty solution into NCR’s restaurant POS systems, giving restaurants another way to accept mobile payments and market to their customers. The integration will provide restaurants with an easy-to-use digital payment method and offer consumers a seamless experience when paying for their meal with the LevelUp application. LevelUp will initially interface with the industry-leading NCR Aloha POS using a site-based integration, while in parallel developing its solution for deployment via NCR Cloud Connect expected later this year and will be one of the first to integrate into Cloud Connect, a new hosted infrastructure that will allow leading third parties to integrate, maintain and deploy their solution across NCR’s install base of more than 100,000 locations on the Aloha, Radiant POS and Advanced Restaurant System platforms.

As part of a definitive agreement, Accenture will acquire Acquity Group, a leading digital marketing and eCommerce company. Accenture has agreed to pay $13.00 per outstanding American Depositary Share, each of which represents two ordinary shares ($6.50 per ordinary share), or a total of approximately $316 million, in cash for Acquity Group. Acquity Group provides strategy, digital marketing, and technical services to hundreds of companies to enhance their brand experiences and eCommerce performance. The acquisition will broaden Accenture’s own services in these areas, which the company provides through Accenture Interactive, its group that offers chief marketing officers (CMOs) and brand leaders a comprehensive suite of marketing, technology and analytics solutions to help them improve their marketing performance. Acquity Group is the second-largest independent digital marketing company in the United States.
