FIS banking and payments technology expanded its relationship with Modern Woodmen Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Modern Woodmen of America, a fraternal financial services organization. With FIS Virtual Back-Office, Loan Origination Studio and Internet Direct, Modern Woodmen Bank enhances online access and flexibility to its mortgage loan customers. Modern Woodmen Bank required a suite of services to provide mortgage products and services to their customers. By deploying FIS Virtual Back-Office, it effectively increases efficiencies and improves customer satisfaction more cost-effectively. Modern Woodmen Bank will also deploy FIS Loan Origination Studio for fully automated origination, processing and closing functions for residential mortgage originations.

Western Union Extends Agreement with Safeway

Western Union financial services forged renewal agreement with Safeway food and drug retailer. Under the terms of the agreement, more than 1,640 Safeway store locations across the United States and Canada will continue to offer Western Union® global money transfer services. Safeway will also introduce Western Union money order and consumer bill payment services in the U.S. in 2013.

Agilysys Partners Motion Partner on Retailers Access to mPayment

USA Technologies to Achieve Profitability Milestone

USA Technologies wireless, cashless payment and M2M telemetry solutions for small-ticket, self-serve retailing industries announced it expects a major milestone with its fiscal 2Q/13 financial results. That’s because the Company is expecting to achieve non-GAAP net income”for the first time”for its second fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2012 (see Non-GAAP Financial Measure below for definition), following aggressive actions taken by management throughout 2012 to accelerate USAT’s “path to profitability”. Total revenues for the second quarter are expected to be in the range of $8.8 to $8.9 million, reflecting an approximate increase of 29% compared to the same period in the prior year.
Recurring revenues for the second quarter are expected to be approximately 83% of total revenues for the second quarter. Total net connections added in the second quarter, which contribute to future recurring revenues, are expected to be approximately 12,000, an increase of 71% from the same period a year ago.

Great Western Bank deploys VSoft Image Processing

Great Western Bank selected VSoft’s branch and item capture and image processing solutions. The bank replaced its existing payments platform with VSoft’s branch item capture solution for its ability to allow branch operators to key, balance and reject/repair images at point of capture, rather than defer that work to a central operations area. The bank is also performing inclearing, and transmission of cash letters with VSoft’s image exchange solution. Great Western Bank will also use VSoft solutions to enable image delivery through customer e-statements, CDs or by interfacing directly to home banking systems.
