Kony Solutions mobile and multi-channel application platform provider introduced a new version of its “Kony Mobile Retail” packaged mobile solution. At the Shop.org show, where the solution was introduced, Kony’s Chief Mobile Officer will partake in a “Masters of Mobile” panel discussion on the connection between retailers and consumers. Kony Mobile Retail was designed for both online and brick-and-mortar retailers. New features allow customers to browse entire product catalogs, use store locators, shopping carts, gift registries, and loyalty cards. It is also configurable with web-based interface lets marketers and developers create personalized and individually-branded mobile experiences, modify look-and-feel, enable and disable features, and re-organize menus – all without any coding and extended to support business-specific applications and requirements, such as third-party solutions or a retailer’s own custom-built modules.

NCR Acquires Cash Cost Optimization Software Company

NCR Corporation acquired Transoft International cash cost optimization software and will integrate its software and SaaS-based product suite into its Financial Services line of business for undisclosed terms. This will strengthen NCR’s existing cash management offering, bringing financial institutions and retailers an integrated cash management solution. Transoft manages cash for hundreds of thousands of ATMs, branches, vaults and retailers around the world. NCR believes that cash management represents a $1 billion segment for integrated technology hardware, software and services solutions.

Citi Launches Campaign for Card Customers

Citi unveiled its “Private Pass” entertainment access program, with access to thousands of events each year including presales, preferred seating and VIP experiences. Citi credit or debit card customers can purchase tickets through www.citiprivatepass.com and some events are complimentary. The “MORE” campaign shows the special access for Citi credit and debit card customers, by highlighting musicians, athletes, chefs and more. Each of the celebrities featured in the campaign has been or will be part of a Citi Private Pass event, including: Alicia Keys, Rickie Fowler, David Ortiz, Cal Ripken Jr., the Fresh Beat Band, Gladys Knight, Santana, Daniel Boulud and Giada De Laurentiis. The Citi Private Pass campaign is brought to life in a breadth of channels, including television, print, digital, events and advertisements at New York City’s Bryant Park, The Grove in Los Angeles and Ogilvy Station in Chicago. doxo Platform to Boost mPayment

doxo digital file cabinet and e-payment has launched its “Connect QR Code” functionality for its providers, allowing businesses that are on doxo to immediately connect with mobile customers simply by featuring a Connect QR code on their documents. Customers can utilize the “Connect QR” code to immediately Connect with the provider on doxo, view the bill or statement, and make a payment, right from their mobile device. It comes “out of the box” with the doxo service as a means to help providers increase paperless adoption, and requires no software or IT services for a business on doxo to deploy. By scanning the QR code with an enabled mobile device, a customer is able to immediately connect with that provider, receive and view their bill into their personal digital file cabinet, and make a payment directly from their personal bank account with doxoPAY. Businesses need not have their own mobile sites or invest in building standalone apps to enable mobile billing and payments with doxo.

NCR Offers Channel Partners Maintenance Services, Inks ScanSource

Chase Community Giving Launches 2012 Program

Chase implemented the voting period for the 2012 Chase Community Giving program from now until September 19 to determine the allocation of $5 million in Chase grants to 196 charities selected by Facebook users and Chase online customers. Open to the public at Facebook.com/ChaseCommunityGiving and for Chase customers at Chase.com/ChaseGiving, this will determine the 196 charities who receive the most votes, with $250,000 to the charity receiving the most votes; $100,000 to each of the next ten runner-up charities; $50,000 to each of the next thirty-five runner-up charities; $20,000 to each of the next fifty runner-up charities; and $10,000 to each of the next one hundred runner-up charities. Nominated charities must be a registered 501(c)(3) public charity with annual operating expenses below $10 million and meet other requirements as described in the program’s rules.
