PayPal partnered Discover to bring PayPal to more than 7 million merchant locations across the U.S., and potentially to millions of international merchant locations in the future. Discover will work with PayPal to enable participating merchants to accept PayPal easily through their existing relationship with Discover. Consumers will be able to take advantage of the benefits of PayPal at these merchant locations, providing them with the simplicity, speed and security they’ve come to expect from PayPal across any channel, any time. Participating merchants will be enabled to accept PayPal easily through their relationship with Discover. To offer PayPal, merchants will not have to install or upgrade existing point-of-sale hardware or software and consumers will know of this additional payments option through in-store signage.

CDNetworks has received PCI-DSS certification renewal and meets the Business Associate requirements for HIPAA Privacy Rule compliance. CDNetworks’ Dynamic Network Acceleration adheres to the technical requirements of the PCI standards regarding system- and application-level policies that include log data centralization, monitoring, and reporting for security and audit purposes. HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and was enacted as a standard for protecting healthcare patient data on the internet. AmEx Tops Customer Satisfaction for 6th Year Running

American Express has been ranked highest in customer satisfaction among U.S. credit card companies on the annual nationwide consumer study by J.D. Power and Associates. This places American Express highest in overall satisfaction among 11 of the largest card issuers in the U.S. American Express has received the study’s top ranking every year since it was launched in 2007. The J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Credit Card Satisfaction StudySM looks at six factors to determine overall satisfaction: Customer Interaction, Billing and Payment Process, Credit Card Terms, Rewards Programs, Benefits and Services, and Problem Resolution. This is through an enhanced website to provide an improved user experience; “tagging” to help Cardmembers create a customized view of their charges and simplifies the experience of managing their expenses; an all new Account Manager feature, making it easy for Cardmembers to list additional individuals, like a spouse or a business partner, who are authorized to access and manage their card accounts; and “My Offers” mobile offer engine that recommends and ranks relevant merchant offers in real time for U.S. Cardmembers based on their spending history and location.

Inc. Magazine has announced that Bluefin Payment Systems achieved the #6 position overall on its annual 500/5000 list of the fastest-growing, private companies in the United States. TSYS Launches Investor Relations App

TSYS launched its free investor relations app for iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices, powered by theIRapp. TSYS’ investor relations app allows users to navigate the company’s investor relations materials, receive a stock quote and view other important stock information. The app will also include the latest press releases and SEC filings from the company, along with marketing and background information, videos, audiocast conference calls and presentations. Investors will have multiple ways to be notified when new information is posted to the app, including updates through Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.

EcoScraps Receives $250,000 Grant from Chase and LivingSocial

EcoScraps sustainable, organic, chemical- and manure-free lawn and garden products received $250,000 from Chase and LivingSocial as part of the “Mission: Small Business” grant program, designed to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities. EcoScraps no-chemical alternative soil products and has been able to quickly expand and reach a wide variety of consumers. Participating small businesses from across the country were evaluated based upon their applications which were required to demonstrate a feasible growth plan, creativity, overall passion for their business and the potential to make a positive impact within the local community. A panel of small business experts reviewed nearly 70,000 applications from small businesses across the country and enlisted support from 3.1 million consumers who each voted for their favorite small businesses, for which EcoScraps was one of 12 companies selected.

Google Offers Extends Boingo Wi-Fi Sponsorship

Boingo Wireless Wi-Fi software and services announced Google Offers is expanding its sponsorship of Boingo Wi-Fi from six New York subway stations and more than 200 Manhattan hotzones, to 24 additional locations across the country. Google Offers will sponsor free and discounted Wi-Fi offerings at eight malls and 16 airports in major cities nationwide, including Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., and Seattle.
