Tyfone Secures NFC Patents

Tyfone mobile financial and security solutions provider secured two U.S. Patents supporting its design solution to miniaturize a NFC antenna for use in mobile environments, including, but not limited to MicroSD cards, such as Tyfone’s next generation SideTap NFC card. This latest design works with any smartcard secure element, across multiple mobile devices and on any NFC reader without the need for cumbersome external booster antennas or after-market battery covers. The two U.S. Patents supporting this new design are: US 7,954,716, entitled “Electronic Transaction Card Powered by Mobile Device” with an effective filing date of February 22, 2005; and US 7,961,101, entitled “Small RFID Card With Integrated Inductive Element” with an effective filing date of August 8, 2008. CorFire to Present at NFC Solutions Summit

CorFire mobile commerce business of SK C&C USA announced that Jon Squire, chief marketing officer at CorFire and Tom Zalewski, vice president of sales will both present at the NFC Solutions Summit in Burligame, Calif. to be held May 22-24, 2012. Zalewski will speak on NFC mobile payments in a pre-conference workshop on Monday, May 21. Chase Approves More Loans Among Small Business

Chase announced that loan growth and improved credit quality among its Business Banking customers indicate that business owners nationwide are better positioned to invest in their companies. Loans to small businesses through the first quarter 2012 increased for six consecutive quarters, and net charge offs are at their lowest level in three years. Small businesses also increased their deposits at Chase 13 percent from a year ago. Chase retained its #1 ranking for the first half of the SBA’s fiscal year, approving 2,198 loans for $390 million through March 31, 2012. And Chase became the outright leader in the SBA’s 504 program, which provides long-term, fixed-rate financing with non-profit Certified Development Companies. Chase approved 213 such loans for $155 million, more loans for more dollars than any other bank. Chase especially impacted small business in Arizona; Louisiana; Florida; New Jersey; Illinois; and New York.

DataCash signs airline Volotea

Global payment services provider, DataCash, has added to its portfolio of international airline customers with Volotea, a European airline specialising in connecting small and mid-sized European cities with non-stop direct flights at competitive prices. Implementing DataCash will help it manage its international payment processing which will allow customers from any geographical location to book flights to any of Volotea’s 52 European destinations. For this, DataCash has deployed its “Global Payments Gateway” which will provide Volotea multi-currency bank card processing and online transaction security technology, 3-D Secure, with more services to follow.
