Report Summary:

The average late stage U.S. credit card delinquency (90+ day) among the nation’s six largest issuers was flat sequentially, to 1.05% for the first quarter (1Q/17), but up 13 basis points (bps) from one-year ago (YOY). This is the first time the 90+ day delinquency has crossed the 1.00% since 2009.

The AmEx 90+ day delinquency rate rose 4 bps sequentially, and up 8 bps one-year ago in 1Q/17. AmEx posted an estimated 90+ day delinquency rate of 0.48% for 1Q/17. (AMEX only reports 30+ day delinquency)
