Infonox, an infrastructure software company focusing on transaction and payment products, announced that their Active Payment Platform will be deployed by QuickPlay ATM, which provides casino patrons and management with safe and convenient delivery of ATM funds directly to slot machines. Using a QuikPlay ATM, a customer can safely swipe their ATM card, enter their PIN, request an amount and if approved obtain funds at the slot machine.
Majority-owned by Global Cash Access (GCA), a First Data Corp. company, the QuickPlay ATM service allows casino customers secure access to their own funds. The APP has been used to manage the entire EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) lifecycle — from the point of transaction origination to its eventual settlement.
“QuikPlay ATM service has potential to become the world’s largest network of transaction devices,” said Morry Goldstein, president of QuikPlay LLC. “Operating and managing such a network required us to think about what new benefits we want to offer our customers and Infonox’s APP was flexible enough to deliver solutions to the harshest requirements in the transaction industry.”
The Active Payment Platform has been extended to not only manage the EFT side of transactions but also to operate the entire monitoring and configuring of the transaction system. Key requirements in such a system, including message and data encryption, key management, POS and server configuration and management as well as back end systems such as dispute resolution, transaction tracking and reporting, reconciliation and settlement are all handled by the Infonox APP. Appropriate measures to provide exclusion tools for problem gamblers are also included in the platform provided by Infonox. The APP is also compliant with all other intensive government regulations.
“We are pleased to innovate in an industry that is very well established,” said Safwan Shah, president of Infonox. “Our technology platform has been strongly validated by the fact that we have tackled some of the most difficult problems in the transaction processing industry and helped our partners increase their profitability. This will benefit the entire gaming industry as well as the banking industry.”
Infonox provides infrastructure software for businesses to deploy, aggregate and manage transaction services. Infonox’s Active Payment Platform (APP) enables businesses to rapidly build and aggregate transaction services on PCs, POS terminals, mobile devices and ATM machines. An integrated suite of products and services handles application deployment and configuration, transaction processing, security, risk management, reporting, monitoring, device and terminal handling, identity verification and media delivery systems.
