Intelli-Check, a developer of advanced document verification systems and ICTS 1994 (USA), Inc., a subsidiary of ICTS International, a leading provider of advanced aviation security services, announced that they have signed a joint collaboration agreement to co-market the products and services of both companies in the United States.
Under terms of the one-year agreement, each company will promote and market each other’s systems and services as part of a joint marketing effort to expand their existing presence in the U.S. for security services relating to domestic travel in addition to non-travel related markets.
“We are pleased that ICTS, an established integrator in worldwide and U.S. aviation security markets, which customizes security solutions to meet the needs of its customers with the most technologically advanced components, has selected our ID-CHECK(R) technology as a core component of the technologies to be integrated into their domestic [email protected] System. The domestic [email protected] System, with our ID-CHECK technology, will provide a comprehensive, streamlined and accelerated approach to the security processing of passengers for domestic flights, and will thereby enhance airport and aviation security. Since approximately 97% of domestic passengers utilize a driver license, military ID or state issued ID as proof of identity for domestic air travel, the verification of these documents is a critical step for completing airport passenger security checks. The recognition of the need for our patented technology to complete this process is clearly demonstrated by this agreement,” stated Frank Mandelbaum, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Intelli-Check. “At the same time, the agreement with ICTS will enable Intelli-Check to leverage its marketing capabilities in order to increase its growing presence as a key security tool for the nation’s domestic travel industry.”
“ICTS’s security systems and Intelli-Check’s ID-CHECK technology will act to complement each other and can be combined or integrated to provide a more comprehensive security solution in the contemplated markets than each system on its own,” stated Joseph Yahav, Senior Vice President — Marketing of ICTS. “This cooperation agreement is highly advantageous to both companies. In particular, it will enable ICTS and Intelli-Check to collaborate in the marketing and sale, and potential combination, of each other’s systems in the U.S. airport domestic travel market.”
ICTS is currently in a trial phase of its [email protected] system at Newark airport, on certain Continental Airlines flights. The Newark pilot of the [email protected] project follows the [email protected] pilot being operated by ICTS since January 2002 at Gatwick airport in the UK, and is based on the same core know how and expertise of ICTS. The [email protected] system is designed to enhance security while speeding and simplifying the processes of identification and security checks of passengers at airports, thereby enhancing customer service provided by airlines and airports to outbound passengers. The [email protected] system of ICTS consists of a computerized evaluative platform integrating several innovative technological tools, including an automated documents scanner, databases search and analysis methods including the APS system of ICTS, biometrics identification systems and smart card technology.
