ORGA Card Systems, Inc. is presenting the new Version 2.0 of its ORGA Java
Card Applet Manager.
This completely interoperable software tool simplifies the management of
Java Card applets and supports all Java SIM cards with specifications based
on international standards from Sun Microsystems, Global Platform and 3GPP.
GSM carriers and service providers in particular will profit from the
benefits of OJAM(TM). The administration of their own applications as well
as loading onto 3GPP TS 23.048 compatible Java(TM) SIM cards has been made
easier.
OJAM(TM) provides on-card functionality, for which a 3GPP TS 23.048
compatible Java(TM) SIM card is read out with the help of a smart card
reader, as well as off-card functionality, for which neither a card nor a
card reader is needed.
The functions of on-card management:
— Modification of the life-cycle state of the card
— Scanning and displaying of the card contents
— Calculating and displaying of the total available memory on the card
— Display of the largest available storage block available on the card
— Loading and deleting packages
— Installation/deinstallation of an application
The functions of off-card management:
— Analysis of the components of a CAP (Converted Applet) file
— Administration of the directory of the CAP files that are
available for loading
— Administration of a database of designators (descriptive
names, text designators) for the corresponding AIDs
(Application IDs), both on-card and off-card
— Generation of an IJC file from a CAP file
