About Anne Geddes
One of the world’s most respected and successful professional photographers, Anne Geddes combined her interest in creating a calendar of her images with her commitment to “giving back,” raising more than $50,000 toward the prevention of child abuse in New Zealand through sales of her premiere edition 1992 calendar. Since then, annual Anne Geddes calendar editions have been bestsellers around the world, and funds have been donated to help prevent child abuse in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Together, Anne and Kel Geddes established the Geddes Philanthropic Trust in 1999. In the United States, it is a major underwriter of Childhelp USA initiatives. These include the Childhelp USA National Day of Hope(R) (part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month), and the organization’s hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD(R) (1-800-422-4453).
