Card Tech Limited (www.ctl.com), the UK-based payment solutions provider,
is pleased to announce the successful
implementation of its SENTRY Proxy Card product at Hellenic Bank in Cyprus.
While other SENTRY ecommerce
solutions are running in Cyprus, this was the first Proxy Card installation
in the country.
SENTRY Proxy Card powers the bank’s new Net Secure product, which offers
“the ultimate security for
Internet shoppers,” according to Rena Papadopoulou, Hellenic’s Manager of
Hellenic Bank now offers Net Secure as a free service to all of its
cardholders. It protects cardholder data
and secures Internet transactions by generating single use Internet cards
with a user-defined line of credit
for a purchase at an e-commerce store. Rena Papadopoulou said of the SENTRY
project from which Net
Secure was created: “The SENTRY system was implemented and interfaced with
Hellenic Net Banking
and our CTL PRIME and ONLINE systems in a very short time. The
implementation was efficient and
Card Tech Limited and Hellenic bank have worked together since 1991. The
bank uses CTL’s PRIME card
management system to issue and administer MasterCard and Visa branded card
products; SENTRY can
plug in to PRIME easily, so the Proxy Card product draws account data from
PRIME behind the scenes of
the Net Secure solution. Integration with Hellenic Net Banking completes a
package that puts Hellenic
Bank at the forefront of e-commerce issuing innovations in Cyprus.
