Bank of America announced the launch of its new Make-A-Wish Visa credit card – a full-service credit card that supports the largest wish-granting charity in the world. Every purchase made using the card will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Visa card will give consumers a way to use their everyday spending to help the Foundation grant wishes to the thousands of children facing life-threatening medical conditions. As with all Bank of America cards, the Make-A-Wish Visa credit card also provides customers with the added security features of the Total Security Protection package, which offers greater defense against theft, loss, unauthorized use and includes Photo Security.
“By making purchases with the Make-A-Wish Visa Card, consumers can help the Make-A-Wish Foundation continue to grant the wishes of thousands of children, bringing moments of hope, strength and joy into their lives at a time when they need it most,” said James Sebo, senior vice president, Partnership Marketing, Bank of America.
“We are honored to be partnering with Bank of America,” said David Williams, president and chief executive officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. “Together, we will raise the awareness of more people across the country about the tremendous work that we do to help make dreams come true.”
The Make-A-Wish Visa card is available nationwide through Bank of America banking centers, direct mail, Consumer Real Estate, Dealer Finance and customer service centers. The card is also available online through Bank of America (www.makeawishvisa.com), the Make-A-Wish Foundation Web site (www.wish.org), and the organization’s local chapter Web sites. Customers may also call 1.866.494.3301 to apply for a card via telephone.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation will receive 0.65% of all purchases on the card and a minimum of $2 for each account that is opened and activated. There is no cap on the dollar amount that is donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The package includes a Mini Card, travel & emergency assistance, auto rental insurance, purchase replacement and purchase guard.
