Citibank card members can enjoy special discounts and dining
offers from close to 3,000 local and international restaurants in the
2006 Citibank Favorite Restaurants campaign.
To preview some of the special offers, the 2006 initiative was launched
with a “restaurant hopping” event held for the press. Accompanied by
famous DJ, Miew-Atchariya Sinratchatanun and other stars, the 25
lifestyle reporters began their tour with lunch at China Gate, one of
Bangkok’s largest Chinese restaurants.
After lunch, the press party enjoyed a traditional English afternoon tea
hosted by famous writer, Ploy Chariyaves at Cup cafe. Following the tea
they were treated to a relaxing spa at DVN Spa. In the evening,
Pomodoro, one of Bangkok’s most exclusive Italian restaurants was the
venue for dinner with celebrities, Patsa Ngamjitsuksri and Polpat
At the launch, Ms. Voralak Tulaphorn, Vice President, Marketing and
Cards Business Director, Citibank, N.A. said, “Because Thailand and
Bangkok specifically, is recognized as one of the best destinations in
the world for eating and dining we have worked hard to provide a wide
range of related benefits for Citibank card members.
“This campaign, which includes over 1,000 restaurants locally, and close
to 2,000 internationally, covers just about every type of cooking
available. So whether you like phad phai, birds nest soup or beef
bourguignon, all tastes are catered for!”
The Citibank Top Favorite Restaurants campaign will run for a year and
some restaurants will offer discounts of up to 30% for Citibank card
Some of the leading restaurants involved include: Greyhound Cafe, See
Fah, Black Canyon, Phor, By Kallaprapruk, Cafe Chilli, Lavilla, Gold
Kitchen, Shinanoya, S&P, The Cup and Sofitel Central Plaza restaurants
and the Dusit Thani Hotel, Four Seasons and Royal Orchid Sheraton hotel.
Other leading eateries across involved in the program include: the Full
Moon and Dragon Kingdom restaurants in Hong Kong; and the Garlic
Restaurant and Via Veneto Ristorant Italiano in Singapore.
