Heartland Bank, a full-service, locally owned independent bank headquartered in Clayton, Mo., has announced the release of its new Heartland Bank Discover Network Card, a banking card that allows cardholders to earn points redeemable for free travel, merchandise and gift cards. Heartland will be the first bank in St. Louis and Denver to offer a Discover Network credit card, with its ancillary benefits, to customers.
The Heartland Bank Discover Network Card rewards cardholders each time the card is used. A rewards program tracks activity on the card and calculates points that can be used toward merchandise prizes or travel costs. Black out dates will not apply for travel rewards. For consumer security, a fraud prevention monitoring system is offered to track purchases and transactions and notify cardholders of unusual activity. The card comes with a low introductory rate and no annual fee.

In honor of Heartland Bank’s 120th anniversary, cardholders will also receive one entry into the 120-Year Celebration Promotion with each purchase made with their Heartland Bank Discover Network Card from May 1, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2007. This does not include cash advances, balance transfers, convenience checks and fee transactions.
