Wright Express Corporation, a leading provider of payment processing and
information management services to the U.S. and Canadian commercial and
government fleet industry, announced that it has signed an acceptance
agreement that will enable Wright Express customers to use their Wright
Express Fleet Card at all Imperial Oil Limited’s Esso branded locations
throughout Canada. IOL is the first Canadian fuel merchant to accept the
Wright Express card in Canada.
Imperial Oil is one of Canada’s largest corporations and a leading
member of Canada’s petroleum industry. It is one of Canada’s largest
producers of crude oil and natural gas, is the country’s largest petroleum
refiner, and has a leading market share in petroleum products, sold
primarily under the Esso and Mobil brand names through a coast-to-coast
supply network that includes close to 2,000 retail outlets. Esso, with one
of the largest network of service stations in Canada, joins the more than
180,000 North American retail fuel and vehicle maintenance locations in the
Wright Express network. The agreement provides Wright Express, with broader
acceptance in Canada.
