Southern Federal Credit Union of Houston has strengthened its alliance with TNB Card Services by moving its debit card processing to TNB, which has managed Southern FCU’s credit card program for more than 15 years.
As part of the expanded relationship, TNB will enhance the 54-year-old credit union’s debit card processing by streamlining back office operations, providing a single point of contact for settlement issues, and increasing fraud protection using neural networking technology.
“We have always received exceptional customer service for our members and for the credit union itself from TNB,” said Jeanne Walker, CEO of Southern Federal Credit Union. “TNB’s services, fraud expertise and support, and understanding of the credit union market make them an ideal partner for us. We would have given our debit card processing business to TNB sooner, but due to contract obligations with our current debit card processor, we weren’t able to make the change until now.”
With the TNB debit solution, Southern FCU will be able to more effectively settle funds and increase its responsiveness to member cardholders. The credit union serves employees (and families) of Transocean, Inc., with members worldwide. It has 3,400 members and assets of $32 million.
