Regis Corporation has selected the newly-released Epson “TM-T88V” single-station thermal printer for an 8,000-unit rollout to Regis Corporationâs corporate salon locations throughout North America, including Supercuts, Cost Cutters, Regis Salons and MasterCuts. Regis Corporation chose the Epson printer because of its industry-leading energy efficiency, operational cost savings and high reliability. Epsonâs TM-T88-series is has five million units installed worldwide.
MasterCard Advisorsâ “SpendingPulse” report, tracking national retail and service sales in specific U.S. retail industries, reflects modest growth for June. eCommerce sales increased 9.7%, while subcategories such as apparel posted double digit growth for the seventh consecutive month. Luxury sales, which include high-end sales in restaurant, food stores, department stores, and high end retailers from the general apparel category, posted a decline of 3.9% in June. Juneâs Jewelry data posted a 10.1% growth, keeping the category in positive territory for the 8th straight month. The Electronics and Appliances category posted a positive year-over-year growth rate of 1.7% for June. Appliance sales remained relatively flat with 1% growth for the month. Additionally, Total apparel sales increased 3.3% following declines in April and May; footwear sales grew +0.3% and Menâs Apparel, also growing at +0.3%, reversed Mayâs declines; and womenâs Apparel sales were down 1.6%.

Discover Financial Services has forged agreements with Serbian-based
DinaCard payment network, allowing DinaCard cardholders to use the
Discover, Diners Club International and PULSE networks for international
purchases and cash access internationally by the end of 2010. This will
give DinaCard cardholders global access to credit and cash withdrawals,
with local volume remaining on the DinaCard network. DinaCard national
payment cards has 27 local issuing banks and 2.5 million cards, holding
a 30% acquiring network market share. Its alliance with Discover is
similar to those held with BC Card, China Union Pay and JCB, offering
growth opportunities for value and volume to merchants and partners.
Fifth Third Processing Solutions has acquired the assets of TNB Card Services from TX-based Town North Bank independent community bank, advancing its efforts to provide electronic payment solutions to credit unions and their members. TNB Card Services currently provides credit, debit, and prepaid cards, loyalty, consulting and ATM driving with a full suite of back-office services to more than 370 credit unions in 27 states and the District of Columbia. TNB Card Services becomes part of FTPS and is one of the payments industry’s largest providers of transaction processing and acceptance solutions for merchants, businesses and financial institutions around the world.
eLayaway layaway payment processor, has begun trading of its public common stock, having recently received FINRA approval to commence trading on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol ELAY.
