Ho Chi Minh City-based Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) has joined with Japan’s JCB to issue the first JCB debit card in Vietnam. To kick-start the program ACB is offering an annual fee waiver for the 1st year and a cash back up to 100% for the first payment transactions by the new card.
The holders of ACB-JCB card can access to JCB acceptance network with about 28 million merchants and over a million ATMs in 190 countries and territories, and enjoy a lot of benefits provided by ACB such as 15-minute debit card issuance, free insurance services for ATM assault, and special privileges at selected merchants and customer service at JCB Plaza, overseas service counter available at 61 locations around the world.
ACB was founded in Ho Chi Minh city in 1993. The bank now has over 350 transaction offices national-wide with near 10,000 employees.
JCB cards are now issued in 17 countries and territories, with about 88 million cardmembers. As part of its international growth strategy, JCB has formed alliances with more than 350 leading banks and financial institutions globally to increase merchant coverage and card member base.
