Mumbai-based Money-On-Mobile continues to rack up strong numbers in usage for its mobile payments service. The company, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Calpian, had 8.3 million total users in February, with 4.04 million repeat users.
Money-On-Mobile, has been accessed by more than 128 million cumulative unique users since its inception, an increase of 4.3 million unique users accessing the service from January.
Money-On-Mobile is now offered to Indian consumers through 247,471 retail locations throughout India, an increase of 5,551 stores, compared to 241,920 stores in January 2015. Processed transaction volume for February 2015 in Indian rupees exceeded 1.39 billion INR, an 8 percent increase, compared to the single month volume processed January 31, 2015. The month’s processed transaction volume was approximately $22.5 million USD at the exchange rate on February 28, 2015.
