MasterCard is hosting a contest for entrepreneurs’ best Priceless Elevator Pitch for a chance to win $15,000. The promotion is part of the annual Mashable House held in conjunction with
the annual SXSW Interactive in Austin.
Every March, 70,000+ startup founders, digital marketers, brands and venture capitalists (VC’s) descend upon Austin, Texas, for SXSW Interactive. And every March, the Mashable House opens the doors to the Internet IRL.
This year, MasterCard and Mashable are partnering to create the Priceless Elevator Pitch, a startup contest where MasterCard cardholders can pitch their big ideas in sixty seconds or less.
How’s it work? Have your pitch for a new business idea, solution or product prepared and our bellhop will escort you into the Priceless Elevator. Once the door closes, you’ll have up to 60 seconds to pitch your idea for a chance at the grand prize of $15,000.
The event will be in full swing from 12pm to 5pm March 13-14 and 12pm to 2pm March 15th at Mashable House (305 E. 5th Street, Austin TX).
They will have VC’s on-site from firms like Lerer Ventures, StarVest Partners, SoftTech and Fortis Partners to provide feedback on the pitches and select 9 finalists to receive prizes. On the final day (3/15), the best Priceless Pitch will be awarded a $15,000 grand prize to help bring the idea to life.
