NY-based CardFlight is shipping its new EMV-ready chip card readers to resellers for its SwipeSimple mobile point of sale solution. The Company also announced POS Portal will be a launch partner in distributing CardFlight’s EMV-ready solutions.
CardFlight says some providers have announced plans to offer mobile EMV card readers, however CardFlight is one of the first to actually make them available for purchase and deployment in the U.S.
CardFlight is already in certification testing with multiple leading processors and expects to achieve full certification with multiple providers during the second quarter of 2015.
The EMV-ready card readers pair with CardFlight’s SwipeSimple mobile POS solution. Launched in 2014, SwipeSimple includes encrypted mobile card readers, payment acceptance applications for iOS and Android devices, a real-time reporting and admin dashboard for merchants, and a reseller portal for easy onboarding and portfolio management. Transactions are processed through CardFlight’s PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant payment gateway.
Regarding the POS Portal deal: the firm is a leading hardware provider over the past 15 years, and serves household names like BBVA Compass, Capital One and Wells Fargo. POS Portal’s bi-coastal distribution facilities ship over 1,200 POS devices every day to merchants nationwide, and CardFlight’s EMV-ready readers will be the first EMV-ready mobile card reader solution that POS Portal is offering.
