American Express has corralled nine major U.S. merchants to form the first U.S.-based coalition loyalty card program. The new Plenti card and/or FOB can be used any form of payment that the partner accepts at checkout – cash, credit, debit or prepaid and offers cardholders the ability to double-dip with other rewards payments cards.
Participating companies include: American Express, AT&T, ExxonMobil, Macy’s, Nationwide, Rite Aid, Direct Energy, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Hulu. The program builds on American Express’ 2011 acquisition of Loyalty Partner.
Plenti is free and there is no limit to the number of points a member can earn. Also, members at least two years to use their points.
Plenti members will also be able to earn points on grocery, health and personal items by linking their eligible supermarket store loyalty cards to Plenti.
