Bradley H. Feldmann
President and Chief Executive Officer
Bradley H. Feldmann was named president and chief executive officer of Cubic Corporation in July 2014. Feldmann was appointed to the board of directors in May 2014.
Previously, he served as the president and chief operating officer from January 2013 until assuming his current position, and as the president of the companies comprising the Cubic Defense Systems segment from 2008 through March 2013.
Prior to re-joining the company in 2008, Feldmann held senior leadership positions at OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation and ManTech International. He previously worked at Cubic Defense Systems from 1989 to 1999.
Feldmann is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Institute and holds a Master of Business Administration with honors from San Diego State University. He is also a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a top graduate of the USAF Squadron Officer School.
John D. Thomas
Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer
John D. Thomas was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Cubic Corporation in January 2013.
Prior to his current position, Thomas served as senior vice president Finance and Corporate Development. He joined the company in 1980.
Before joining Cubic, Thomas held positions at Aramark Corporation and Crocker Bank.
Thomas holds a certified public accountant license (inactive) in the state of California. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from San Diego State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
Stephen O. Shewmaker
Executive Vice President and President of Cubic Transportation Systems
Steve Shewmaker is the president of Cubic Transportation Systems worldwide and has overall responsibility for the company’s global business, which includes the U.S., Europe, the Far East and Australia. In 2013, Shewmaker was named executive vice president for Cubic Corporation.
A Cubic executive for more than 20 years, Shewmaker served as managing director for the company’s UK operations from 2006 to 2009, during which time he had overall responsibility for Cubic’s interests in the UK and mainland Europe transportation markets. In 2008, Shewmaker was instrumental in securing one of the company’s most significant deals, the Future Ticketing Agreement with Transport for London, Cubic’s current operations and maintenance contract for the entire Oyster Card system.
For a significant part of his Cubic career, he was senior vice president of Business Development with responsibility for winning new business internationally. These contracts included the first smart card technology projects in the U.S. such as the systems for Washington DC, Chicago and the landmark Oyster Card system in London, as well as projects in China, Australia, Canada and Germany. He became president of Cubic Transportation Systems in 2008.
Since then, Shewmaker has led the company’s growth from approximately $300 million in fiscal year 2008 to over $500 million in fiscal year 2012.
For every year he has been president, Cubic Transportation Systems has improved customer relations while also delivering record financial results.
In 2014 Shewmaker was appointed to the California Chamber of Commerce board of directors. The Chamber represents many of the state’s leading firms and industries including small businesses. In 2012 California Governor Jerry Brown appointed Shewmaker to the San Diego County Fair Board, which is best known for organizing the annual San Diego County Fair, one of the largest in the country.
In addition he is the Treasurer of the Don Diego Foundation that grants college scholarships to San Diego high school seniors.
Shewmaker received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Business from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.
