A new survey reveals a consistent brand experience across channels is one of their top commerce priorities. A customer’s journey is no longer a linear path to purchase it’s now an exercise in connect-the-dots for retailers as they try to piece together customer information, browsing history, inventory visibility and much more to enhance the customer experience.

Team Visa Summit

Visa gathered 25 Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls from around the world for a two-day Team Visa Summit and innovation showcase at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco. The Summit kicked-off Visa’s year-long program which supports Olympic and Paralympic global athletes as they train for the 2016 Games.

G&D Board

Giesecke & Devrient has ankled Prof. Klaus Josef Lutz as Chairman of the Advisory Board and Supervisory Board. Also, added to the G&D Supervisory Board and Advisory Board is Achim Berg. Up until the middle of this year, he was the Chairman of the Management Board at arvato AG, a member of the board of management for Bertelsmann SE, and a member on the Supervisory board for the RTL Group.

Mobile Payments

One of the key challenges presently facing the mobile payments market is the high level of market fragmentation, defined both by the multiplicity of platforms/solutions technologies being deployed and the increasing range of service configurations being offered. This slows down merchant acceptance and makes it difficult for providers to gain scale. We expect the market to reach a point where consolidation among players and solutions becomes the best way to drive address this issue.

E-Commerce 2015

Customers expect a personalized, seamless brand experience across digital and physical commerce touch points and unified commerce is key to delivering this experience. This is the new mantra in retail, according to the 2015 E-Commerce Survey, 43% of the respondents indicated that a consistent brand experience across channels is one of their top commerce priorities.
