SBI Card, MasterCard and Collinson announced that the LoungeKey™ airport lounge program, which offers access to lounges at over 500 airports in over 100 countries, will be added as a new feature for the SBI Platinum Card and SBI World Card from October 1st.
Created by the Collinson Group, the LoungeKey airport lounge program enables cardholders to enjoy instant access to premium lounges simply by using their World MasterCard Credit Card rather than having to carry an additional membership card or voucher.
This launch marks the first time LoungeKey is made available for consumers in Asia Pacific. Cardholders will be able to access over 500 lounges worldwide, including lounges at Narita International Airport and Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya, with more locations in Japan to be added in the future.
SBI Platinum MasterCard cardholders have up to six complementary visits each year, with any additional visits charged directly to their card for 2,000 yen. Family members and other traveling companions may also use the lounge for 2,000 yen per person. SBI World Card cardholders and their family and companions get unlimited free access.
LoungeKey is one of the world’s largest payment-card managed airport lounge program, using secure closed-loop technology. It is audited by Qualified Security Assessors and compliant with PCI DSS to protect cardholder information end-to-end, from lounge to payment.
Holders of the new SBI Platinum and SBI World MasterCards can simply quote “LoungeKey” at affiliated lounges and their card will be authenticated using LoungeKey’s secure closed-loop system. Cardholders can find lounges using the dedicated LoungeKey smartphone app for iOS and Android, or on the dedicated SBI LoungeKey website.
