Starting October 30, UnionPay International, the exclusive sponsor of Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), will offer multiple exclusive privileges, including that of buying tickets in advance, to its cardholders.
Hosted by the largest entertainment and media contents company in South Korea CJ E&M, MAMA is one of the most ceremonious music awards in Asia. This is the second time that UnionPay International sponsors MAMA exclusively, demonstrating that UnionPay, as a rapidly growing international payment brand, has been recognized by an increasing number of people overseas for its amiable, dynamic and confident image.
Last year, BIGBANG and EXO were awarded the two most significant awards — “UnionPay Best Song of the Year” and the “UnionPay Best Asian Singer of the Year”– respectively. This year, the lineup of stars attending the event will be even more amazing than past years.
Through its history, MAMA has always attracted numerous international stars. No wonder it is hard to get a ticket. To solve this problem for cardholders, UnionPay International reserves 2,000 seats with good view for UnionPay cardholders exclusively this year. From October 30 to November 1, domestic and overseas UnionPay cardholders can purchase tickets (at http://www.hkticketing.com/) via “UnionPay Online Payment” before the official ticket sales. Cardholders can also log into UnionPay Haigou site (haigou.unionpay.com) to vote for their favorable Kpop music and stars and to enable them to show up on the stage of MAMA.
Additionally, UnionPay International cooperates with South Korean BC Card Company and Shinhan Card Company to issue 2015 MAMA-themed UnionPay prepaid cards in South Korea. These limited edition prepaid cards with MAMA logo satisfy fans’ needs for both card use and collection. UnionPay International also plans to invite some South Korean cardholders to Hong Kong to experience the convenient and preferential UnionPay card using there.
The audience of MAMA mainly come from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, all with rapid growing UnionPay card businesses. Among them, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries have issued multiple kinds of UnionPay card products.
Currently, almost all merchants and ATMs in Hong Kong accept UnionPay cards. When attending the event in Hong Kong, UnionPay cardholders can also enjoy the exclusive privileges at over 10 shopping malls (including “wtc more” World Trade Center in Causeway Bay and the Sun Arcade in Tsim Sha Tsui) managed by Sun Hung Kai. In addition, Lan Kwai Fong, Tao Heung restaurants and other merchants favored by customers provide preferential offers for UnionPay cardholders. Cardholders who wish to experience the South Korean life style can also carry UnionPay cards to South Korea where all the merchants that accept signature payment can accept UnionPay credit cards and over 1,370 thousand merchants accept UnionPay cards for PIN-based payment.
