SYNCHRONY – CareCredit from Synchrony Financial, introduces the CareCredit mobile app, which allows millions of CareCredit cardholders to conveniently access account servicing and a provider location finder on their smartphones and tablets. The app, available this week in both Google Play and the Apple App Store, helps patients of CareCredit’s more than 185,000 healthcare service providers manage their accounts and financing via their mobile devices.
REMITLY – Remitly, the largest independent digital remittance company in the U.S., announced the expansion of its mobile money transfer service into Mexico, the world’s single largest corridor for international money transfers. Remitly’s safe and secure network includes most major banks and more than 11,000 cash pickup locations in Mexico. Remitly continues to enhance its mobile-first product, introducing new user interface elements and access to real-time information about transactions processing.
EXPERIAN – Experian announced findings from its latest small-business analysis, which compares the demographic and credit characteristics of millennial small-business owners with other generations. Interestingly, the analysis showed that 15% of millennial small-business owners have not earned a high school diploma. By comparison, the next-highest percentage belongs to Generation X, with fewer than 12% not finishing high school. Furthermore, millennial business owners also show the lowest percentage of having completed a bachelor’s degree (16.3%); the next lowest belongs to baby boomers, at just less than 19%.
