Europe’s most used mobile payment solution, SEQR is aiming for the launch of NFC (near field communications) payments in the first quarter of 2016.
With the number of card terminals supporting NFC technology forecasted to be 24 million by the end of 2015, the mobile payment solutions provider will now allow merchants the ability to accept payments from mobile devices. Today, over 6,200 merchants use SEQR.
The SEQR NFC solution eliminates this bottlenecks to merchants and immediately provide customers with the opportunity to shop in millions of stores and points of sale. Even with the quick integration, the company notes that merchants will be able to significantly reduce their transaction fees, while also utilizing SEQR features that will increase sales and loyalty among their customers.
The technology is scheduled to be launched and in production in the first quarter of 2016 and is being demonstrated at Money20/20 in Las Vegas.
SEQR’s payment solution enables merchants to lower interchange fees significantly compared to those charged by traditional card companies.
