GA-based acquirer TSYS reported a solid third quarter
with total revenues of $707.9 million, an increase of 14.8%.
Income from continuing operations attributable to TSYS’ shareholders was $120.6 million, an increase of 45.5%.
In the North America segment, TSYS third quarter transaction volume rose 46.7% YOY to 4.2 billion transactions. The gross number of accounts increased 26.6% YOY to 685.5 million.
For the International segment, TSYS transaction volume increased 9.0% YOY to 626.1 million transactions. The gross number of accounts rose 16.9% YOY to 74.9 million.
In the Merchant segment, TSYS POS transaction volume edged up 8.0% YOY to 1117.3 million transactions. The purchase dollar volume (PDV) increased 1.5% YOY to $12.06 billion.
In the NetSpend (prepaid) segment, TSYS Gross Dollar Volume (GDV) rose 22.3% to $5.39 billion. The number of cards (90 day active) increased 18.1% to 3.64 million.
