PENFED – PenFed Credit Union showed its appreciation for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions’ advocacy efforts with a $25,000 donation. From its founding, NAFCU has been a highly effective advocate for credit unions at the federal level. NAFCU was the first credit union trade association to establish itself in the Washington D.C. area. Since 1967, NAFCU has served its federal credit union members through superb advocacy, education and assistance with regulatory compliance.
UNION BANK – Union Bank announced the results of its annual Small Business Economic Survey, which shows small business owners are more pessimistic about the national economy in 2016 than last year, yet remain hopeful about the future of their own businesses. The survey also found 39 percent of female respondents feeling more positive about the business climate versus their male counterparts (31 percent).
EARLY WARNING – Early Warning, the industry leader in real-time payments, authentication and risk mitigation, announced First Tech Federal Credit Union has joined its clearXchange network. First Tech is a Mountain View, Calif.-based credit union with $8.6 billion in assets focused on serving technology-oriented companies. As a network member, First Tech will provide its more than 420,000 members with a secure and convenient way to make person-to-person (P2P) payments directly through First Tech’s online and mobile banking platforms.
PERK – Perk.com has entered into a partnership with Celltick, a global leader in mobile marketing. Perk will partner with Celltick as the firm’s global rewards provider for their Start app, a customizable Android interface that helps device manufacturers, mobile operators and media companies to engage with their users, gain new insights and differentiate themselves while providing higher value to their users. Perk Rewards will become available through the Start app first in the United States and India, and expand into other regions over time.
