GREEN DOT – Green Dot announced its GoBank mobile checking account was honored at the 2016 PYMNTS Innovator Awards in the Best Check Innovation category. Announced at a live ceremony and awards dinner on March 17th, GoBank was presented with the category’s bronze award for its introduction of pre-authorized check-writing technology that provides additional security for customers and merchants.
M-PAYMENTS – Packaged Facts forecasts mobile payments made at the retailer point of sale will increase 54% in 2016 over 2015 with continued robust growth through 2019. Our forecast is predicated largely on continued movement toward smartphone usage saturation and an increase over time in the percentage of smartphone users making mobile payments at the point of sale.

ZOOZ – Payment technology provider Zooz announced support for Android Pay, Google’s mobile payment solution that offers consumers simplicity, security and choice for purchases made via their Android phones, tablets and watches. Zooz’s merchant customers can now process payments made through Android Pay, and enjoy the benefits of the Zooz payment platform, which intelligently routes each transaction to the most appropriate acquiring bank.
