TSYS and Dejavoo Systems announced the EMV certification of all Dejavoo Z and V Series devices. TSYS also announced that Ecobank has deployed the latest version of the PRIMESM payments solution platform, PRIME 4, to support its acquirer processing of MasterCard, Visa and UnionPay International point-of-sale (POS) transactions across 28 countries in Middle Africa.
Compatible for stand-alone mode and semi-integration, these TSYS-certified devices provide Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Integrated Software Vendors (ISVs) and their merchants an easy and secure method to accept contact and contactless payments that support most major mobile wallets, as well as PIN-based credit and MSR-based debit EMV transactions.
Designed for retail and restaurant vendors and fully certified through all major card brands, Dejavoo’s application seamlessly integrates to any existing point-of-sale (POS) system, including desktop, wireless, PIN pad and mobile devices. This user-friendly and intuitive solution provides VARs and ISVs with a direct TSYS connection, allowing them to run all transaction types within hours instead of days. Merchants benefit as sensitive transaction and card data are stored in the Dejavoo terminal, reducing PCI scope from the POS without diminishing features and functionality.
Ecobank has a major presence in Africa with more than 1,100 branches servicing over 10 million customers in 34 countries, making it one of the largest providers of financial products and services on the continent. With a mission to advance Africa’s economic and financial integration, Ecobank sought a proven acquiring solution to further improve its merchant services.
