VISA – The European Commission has approved the proposed acquisition of Visa Europe Ltd. by Visa Inc. Visa has now received all regulatory approvals required for the acquisition. The transaction has already been cleared by both the Jersey and the Turkish competition authorities. The transaction is expected to close in Visa Inc.’s fiscal third quarter of 2016. Visa will announce the closing once it has occurred.
ADS – Alliance Data Systems Corporation and Bed Bath & Beyond have inked a new long-term agreement to develop a co-brand credit card program.
CHASE – Chase announced has inked a multi-year agreement with Shell to accept Chase Pay at its stations across the U.S. Chase Pay is a payment service that lets Chase credit and debit customers pay at the pump, in stores, online and within an app. Chase Pay will help Shell transform its customer payment and loyalty experience by enabling a mobile payment solution and driving Fuel Rewards program participation.
PAYMENT SAVVY – Payment Savvy has launched their new Open API. As a company spokesperson noted, the Open API allows for an easy integration for any software in the industry—for example, medical, billing, auto finance, collections, utility, telecom and many others.
