SLA Digital, an international digital services company offering direct operator billing to mobile network operators (MNO), says its first integration with Google Play is now live.
Axiologix says its joint venture, SLA Digital, says an existing global mobile operator partner of SLA Digital is using SLA’s proprietary Digital Services Platform to launch its Carrier Billing solution on Google Play.
According to Mobile Payments Today, direct operator billing has had a 300% year-over-year growth rate on Google Play.
This new capability allows Google Play customers, using this operator’s network, to purchase digital content, from games to apps and music, without needing credit or debit card details.
Instead, Carrier Billing offers customers a secure and convenient mobile payment solution allowing seamless digital content purchases by simply deducting the transaction from their prepaid phone credit or charging it to their post-paid phone bill. SLA Digital takes a percentage fee of every transaction made by customers.
