AMS – Applied Merchant Systems continues to develop its integrated electronic payment processing platform while consolidating with other growing merchant acquirers, or independent sales organizations. In that pursuit, AMS expanded its senior credit facility with Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group and Business Development Corporation of America through a Strategic Merger with BlueSquare Resolutions. BlueSquare’s founder, Sabin Burrell, has become a significant shareholder and Senior Executive of AMS, while also continuing to serve as CEO of BlueSquare.
BLUEFIN – Bluefin Payment Systems, a provider of PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solutions for retail, restaurants, healthcare, and education, and Merchant Link announced the availability of Bluefin’s P2PE solution on the Merchant Link platform. Merchant Link specializes in gateway and data security solutions for over 400,000 hotel, restaurant and retail locations, enabling more than 6 billion transactions annually.
VPIG – Virtual Piggy inked a Memorandum of Understanding with ROK Mobile, a provider of innovative telephone and technology services, to include Virtual Piggy’s new Peer to Peer mobile payment system OINK as part of ROK’s offering. It will also explore the use of Virtual Piggy in ROK’s European markets. ROK Mobile recently announced the release of its new low radiation phone ROKiT 1 developed using proprietary NASA technology. The ROKiT 1 will be the world’s first low radiation smartphone with plans to utilize a NASA developed electromagnetic radiation shielding material originally developed for space applications.
FIS – FIS Cardless Cash, a mobile solution that avoids using a plastic card at the ATM to withdraw funds, continues to expand its availability for consumers. Already possessing one of the nation’s largest mobile phone-to-ATM networks, FIS, a global leader in financial services technology, has partnered with CO-OP Financial Services to expand Cardless Cash to CO-OP ATM’s menu of Terminal Driving services. CO-OP provides members of participating credit unions with surcharge-free access to accounts through its nationwide ATM network. It will add FIS Cardless Cash to its menu of CO-OP ATM Terminal Driving services, with a pilot expected to launch in the first quarter of 2017.
