MasterCard has launched a new disruption to the payments ecosystem with the launch of MasterCard Send. MasterCard Send is the only personal payments service that can reach virtually all U.S. debit card accounts and enable funds to be sent and received typically within seconds.
Oberthur Technologies has gone over the top with the unveiling of the first payment card integrating a dynamic cryptogram solution. This world-first replaces the three-figure security code on the back of the card with a ‘mini-screen’ displaying a code that automatically changes periodically.
NY-based HYPR is releasing its Biometric Security Integration Kit, an end-to-end biometric security suite intended for developers and manufacturers across the ever-expanding Internet of Things (IoT). The kits are expected to ship in July in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Credit card asset quality will remain strong in 2015, although delinquencies and charge-offs are expected to end the year modestly higher than beginning of year levels. Loan growth and moderate loosening of underwriting standards will contribute to a slow reversion nearer to longer-term averages.
