Fujitsu and Ingenico team on contactless rail ticketing

Ingenico is collaborating with Fujitsu to upgrade its UK rail ticketing systems to meet the highest information security standards and improve its contactless capabilities. Ingenico is now supplying Fujitsu with around 1,400 iPP320 contactless PINPads and its proprietary centralised payment process solution, Axis, which will provide full PCI DSS compliance for all of its manned kiosk and telesales ticketing solutions. The Fujitsu STAR ticketing system is a package of services forming a comprehensive ticket retailing solution designed for UK train operators and installed in over 600 stations in the UK. To date, nine of the train operators use STAR as their preferred ticket retailing solution. Ingenico’s Axis platform manages payment transactions from the point of sale to the transaction acquirer. It complies with security requirements and even goes beyond the scope of the regulations by providing its customers with modules intended to protect them against internal fraud, the theft of sensitive data and system breakdowns.

European ISPs Support for Visa V.me

VIisa Europe announced new partnerships with fifteen European Internet Payment Service Providers (IPSPs), giving the V.me by Visa digital wallet service access to their extensive e-commerce merchant portfolios, and supporting the continued growth and availability of the multi-market wallet service. The agreements increase the reach of V.me by Visa and as a result, Visa expects many more retailers to have access to V.me and be capable of processing transactions by the end of 2014. HSBC Boasts ISA Through Latest App

HSBC customers can now open a Loyalty Cash ISA on the go via their HSBC mobile banking app, which rewards customers with a loyalty rate when they pay at least £1 into the ISA each year (currently between 1.4% and 1.6% AER variable depending on the current account they hold). It is the first time the bank has offered an account opening service to mobile banking app users. Customers will be able to apply quickly and easily, transferring money into their ISA as soon as it is open. The application form will be pre-filled with their personal information, and it takes just three clicks to open the account and transfer funds in, all of which happens in real time. All existing app users will receive this feature through an automatic update.
