Heartland Q3/15

NJ-based Heartland Payment Systems (HPS) reported Small and Mid-Sized Enterprise (SME) Q3 transaction processing volume set a new quarterly record $24.5 billion, up 13.1% year-on-year (YOY). HPS also acquired privately held Digital Dining, a provider of restaurant point-of-sale (POS) and management systems throughout the USA.

San Francisco-based OmnyPay has launched its first integrated mobile loyalty, rewards and payment system designed specifically for retailers. Verifone + Curb

Verifone has expanded its taxi and car-for-hire electronic hailing (e-hail), payment and media business with the acquisition of Curb, a business that connects people in approximately 60 U.S. cities with rides from professional, insured, and fully-licensed taxi drivers. Using Curb’s e-hail app, passengers take more than 100,000 rides each month.

Doxo Payments

Doxo announced the National Grid has made available to its customers the doxo application to enhance the company’s customer engagement and experience by offering a paperless account and billing option. Through doxo, National Grid’s electricity and gas customers, across New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, can now receive their bills and other account documents, organize account information, and make payments directly from their free doxo account.

PiggyPot

Belfast-based PiggyPot is expanding rapidly following a successful trial earlier this year. The company, who are on a mission to make it easier and more rewarding to set aside funds for the future, is looking to grow it’s team with four new full-time positions ranging from iOS and Backend Developers to Designers.
