BMO Expands ATM network

BMO Bank of Montreal plans to add more than 800 Cash ATMs to its network across Canada by the year 2014, bringing the network total to nearly 3,000 full-service and Cash ATMs. The new BMO Cash ATMs provide a fast and convenient way for customers to access their money, either through a withdrawal or cash advance. Also, surcharges and month-end Interac fees for BMO debit and credit card customers are waived. The ATMs are designed for cash-only transactions. BMO has also added the BMO Branch and ATM Locator function to the BMO Blue Room™ mobile app.

Toronto PCI to Host Dialog on PCI-DSS Compliance

PCI Logic and Vigilant are set to hold a conference May 7th to promote collaborative exchange between US and Canadian organizations struggling to achieve PCI compliance. The conference, organized by PCI Logic and endorsed by the Financial Management Institute of Canada, will be held in downtown Toronto and will feature keynote addresses by Kris Herrin, Chief Technology Officer at Heartland Payment Systems and Nick Galleto, National Leader, Information and Technology Risk Services, Deloitte Canada. Datacard Appoints Exec to Oversee Instant Issuance & EMV

Datacard Group secure ID and card personalization solutions appointed Mike Vaselenak to lead business development and sales for Datacard Group’s instant issuance solutions. Datacard solutions issue millions of cards everyday worldwide and the company has thousands of instant issuance installations throughout the world, including both magnetic stripe programs as well as EMV compliant smart card programs. Instant issuance complements centralized third party production and drives activation, while helping reduce issuer costs and the risks of sending financial cards and PINs through the mail.
