Wirecard’s Checkout Portal has been launched in Eastern Europe and will be offering payment solutions in combination with Google services. In a first step, the product was launched in Poland, for which Wirecard was able to involve Google’s Premier SMB Partner Verseo.
Coinzone has launched its merchant payment services in Poland. The fully-featured customized payment solution incorporates market-specific language and payment processing localizations that give merchants the option of settlement in their local currency, the Polish Zloty.
Poland’s Getin Bank is set to NFC payments relying on Oberthur’s HCE (Host Card Emulation), a cloud-based protocol simplifying mobile contactless payment implementations. HCE was introduced on Android platforms at the end of 2013.

On Track Innovations NFC and cashless payment solutions, has expanded the capabilities of the 84 transit ticket vending machines operated by its electronic ticket systems subsidiary, ASEC S.A. Integrated oti NFC contactless card readers now allow travelers and commuters to easily use any NFC-enabled credit/debit card or mobile device to recharge their pre-paid phone cards issued by Mobile Network Operators (MNO) in Poland. Currently supported pre-paid cards include those issued by T-Mobile, Heyah, Play, Plus, Orange, NJU Mobile and Lycamobile. The machines accept traditional credit/debit card and cash payments and will also support oti’s new WAVE device that makes any mobile device NFC-capable. The ASEC automated ticketing network has enabled more than 62 million trips on the Mazovia Railway. Revenues generated from this new capability for refilling pre-paid phone cards are included in the estimated $4.7 million transaction fees revenues for the Mazovia Railway System over five years as was announced by oti in April 2013.

PKO Bank Polski and EVO Payments International successfully completed EVO’s acquisition of a 66 percent interest in eService, PKO’s existing merchant acquiring business. In addition, the parties also entered into a 20 year strategic alliance under which the parties will continue to develop eService as a leading merchant acquirer in the region. The strategic alliance entered into between PKO Bank Polski and EVO will allow further development of eService’s business in Poland, as well as support the expansion of eService’s business into foreign markets, in particular Central and Eastern Europe.
