PULSE debit/ATM network extended and expanded its long-term relationship with Motorola Employees Credit Union (MECU), as MECU’s network provider for PIN debit. This provides MECU’s 39,000 members with access to POS terminals at retail locations across the U.S. through PULSE PAY®, as well as PULSE’s nationwide network of more than 380,000 ATMs. MECU, with 10 branch locations in Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts and Texas, has been a PULSE participant since 2007 and chose to expand its relationship with PULSE following a comprehensive review, facilitated by the Illinois Credit Union League Service Corporation, that included a detailed analysis of MECU’s debit program transaction history. The process confirmed that MECU achieves improved debit economics when its PIN debit transactions are routed through PULSE.

The new mobile payment solution provides tools for independent developers to easily integrate instant enrollment with an open platform that enables mobile application developers and technology providers to build their own payment or marketing solutions with VeriFone infrastructure. The SAIL Developer Portal features a SAIL Instant Commerce Toolkit that enables developer plug-and-play access to the components of the SAIL Open Payment platform, including APIs for real time merchant enrollment, payment processing through the secure SAIL payments engine, as well as inventory and data sync capabilities. Developers can use the complete toolkit to develop their own iOS and Android mobile payments solutions, without having to rebuild secure gateway or mobile device driver assets.

Card Activation Technologies received notice from the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit scheduling the oral argument in our appeal for Wednesday, October 3, 2012. The argument will be heard by a three-member panel of the Federal Circuit at the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado.
Ginger Schmeltzer has joined Fiserv as senior VP, Emerging Payments, Digital Payment Solutions to lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives to facilitate the delivery of new payment services. Initially focusing on the rapidly evolving mobile payments market Schmeltzer comes to Fiserv a seasoned financial industry professional with significant experience spanning both digital channels and payments. She was most recently senior vice president of Digital Channel Management at SunTrust Bank where she oversaw online banking, mobile banking and digital money movement technologies. Here she developed and executed strategies for mobile financial services, person-to-person payments and electronic billing and payment.
