CBL Malls to Offer AmEx Gift Cards

TN-based CBL Malls is now issuing American Express Gift Cards.The CBL Select
Gift Cards will replace the current CBL Malls Gift Card, which has been
offered since 2004. Previously, CBL Malls Gift Cards were only redeemable at retailers and
restaurants that were located at a CBL property and that accepted
American Express. The new CBL Select Gift Card will be redeemable at any
location that accepts American Express. In addition, the new CBL Select
Gift Card will not have any monthly service fees deducted over the life
of the card – a first for this type of program.

Trustcash Holdings has developed a web based virtual checkout terminal.
The Trustcash terminal can run on any computer with an Internet
connection, without software installations or updates required and is
customizable for any merchant. The terminal has recently been installed and is currently being used by

PayPal Names New Global Executives

PayPal has tapped John McCabe, previously with Wachovia, as its SVP, worldwide operations, Ed Eger, previously with Citigroup, as its SVP of transaction management and Renier Lemmens, previously with Barclay Bank will lead PayPal’s business in Europe. McCabe was executive vice president of Wachovia Direct Access. In this position, he led Wachovia’s contact centers in 15 domestic and global locations, serving 20 lines of business and approximately 15 million customers. A financial services and technology professional with more than 33 years of global experience, McCabe brings vast knowledge and expertise in customer service transformation and retail banking operations. Eger served as CEO at Citigroup’s international consumer credit card business. In that role, he was responsible for an organization that spans 50 countries and serves more than 40 million customers worldwide. In his 25-year career, Eger has run a range of financial service businesses in North America, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Lemmens served as chief operating officer of the International Retail and Commercial Banking Division at Barclays Bank PLC, covering all functional areas across 23 markets globally. A native of The Netherlands, Lemmens has extensive international business experience having worked in the Benelux region, France, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Hungary, India and North America.

Beanstream hosted webstore solution will provide payment card INTERAC
Online processing for the ScotiaMocatta online precious metals eStore.
Additional Beanstream services such as consumer authentication and
extensive back-office reports are included to provide the Bank with a
robust, secure online solution for the global bullion market. Scotiabank

Secured Financial Network has officially changed the name of
its wholly owned subsidiary, Virtual Payment Solutions, Inc., to RedFin
Network, Inc. The Payment Gateway specializes in providing (PCI) Certified
Payment Technology for small to enterprise size business and resellers
in need of secure and reliable Wireless, Retail and Internet
credit/debit card and ACH processing services with dedicated customer

Metatron Acquires Just Data

Internet holding company Metatron has completed the acquisition of e-payment provider Just Data for $100,000. Just Data provides flexible electronic payment
solutions including credit cards, electronic checks and telephone
orders, and works with any business model, including internet,
broadband, wireless, call centers and retail establishments. Just Data
enables online companies to accept global payments without the need to
obtain and manage their own merchant account. Benefits include worldwide
acceptance, multiple currencies, state of the art merchant tools,
subscription and per-unit billing, world class customer service, and a
full suite of marketing and revenue features.
Metatron and Just Data have operated under a joint venture agreement
since August 3, 2009, and since that time have focused on the
development of recurring revenue-generating client relationships. Just
Data will typically enter into three-year service contracts that require
minimum volume commitments from merchants to qualify for the agreed-upon

set to enhance its “Gold AIR MILES” MasterCard with ‘green’ benefits.
Providing customers a 25% discount on the number of reward miles
required to redeem for ‘Green’ merchandise through the AIR MILES Reward
Program, the enhancements allow for substantial savings and earlier
redemption for environmentally-friendly products. BMO “Gold AIR MILES”
allows patrons to redeem their AIR MILES for more than 140 ‘green’
products and services available through its “My Planet” program, ranging
from transit passes to green energy services to high efficiency
household appliances to less-toxic cleaning products. These benefits are
in addition to enhancements made earlier in the year, eliminating annual
fees; doubling rewards; adding travel Insurance benefits and increasing
flight redemption discounts.

American Express Drops Monthly Gift Card Fees

Feeling the breath of federal lawmakers, American Express says it is eliminating monthly fees on all of its gift cards, including those now in stores, those headed to market for the coming holidays, and those already purchased that are in consumers’ wallets and purses. With this announcement, American Express is the only major issuer of universal, or “general purpose,” gift cards to eliminate all fees after purchase. Unlike other gift cards, AmEx Gift Cards have no fees after purchase — no fees for activation, no fees for checking a balance, no fees for monthly servicing, no fees for card replacement, and the funds on the cards never expire. In addition, AmEx and Simon Property announced a new, expanded relationship that makes AmEx the primary provider of Simon gift cards, unseating Visa. AmEx Gift Cards are available at more than 70,000 outlets.
