VoiceTrust digital payments and voice biometric solutions partnered Speed Remit Money Transfer. VoiceTrust is launching its remittance service in partnership with Speed Remit Money Transfer, allowing cardholders to remit money through 197 Speed Remit agent branches. Cardholders will receive discounted transfer fees by presenting their VoiceTrust/Speed Remit loyalty cards. VoiceTrust will simultaneously launch Cash Back for its payroll corporate customers. Cash Back will be earned on every remittance transaction completed by their employees, therefore helping the companies to reduce their monthly costs on the payroll card.
Sage Pay payment processor launched its “Sage Pay Mobile” mobile payment solution aimed at small businesses. This lets businesses accept card payments using their mobile phone to authorise transactions. The “Sage Pay Mobile” solution is a highly-secure, handheld terminal connects to a merchant’s smartphone via Bluetooth, and encrypts the data from a customer’s card at source, so the merchant and their phone never see the card details. It is PCI DSS approved and integrates with the Sage 50 Accounts Mobile service to help retailers effectively manage their entire business flow, end to end and on the move.
BOKU online mobile payments forged direct billing agreements with Deutsche Telekom mobile network operator. The partnership offers over 34 million subscribers in Germany the ability to pay for digital and virtual goods and services simply using their existing wireless account. Customers can access the portfolio of BOKU merchant partners to purchase a wide variety of digital goods and services, including virtual goods found in online games, digital goods, and Facebook credits. Customers simply enter their phone number to checkout, and respond via SMS to confirm the payment; the charge appears on their wireless bill.

Cummins Allison provider of coin currency and check handling solutions will be providing BMO Bank of Montreal with Cummins Allison self-service coin counting machines for use in many of its new branches. Cummins Allison high-speed self-service coin machines are able to count mixed Canadian coins at a rate of up to 4,000 per minute. After coins are deposited, the Cummins Allison coin machine issues a receipt for the total, which can then be exchanged at the branch for cash or deposited into a BMO bank account.
NCR Corporation and Bank of New Zealand have jointly won the ‘Best ATM Installation and Management Project’ at the Asian Banker 2012 Technology Implementation Awards. This is the third consecutive win for NCR and recognizes Bank of New Zealand’s world-first deployment by a financial institution of NCR Predictive Services, a unique technology that anticipates ATM failures before they occur and proactively schedules fixes to maximize uptime. BNZ has reduced the downtime of its ATMs by a third and is now achieving network availability of nearly 99 percent, translating into an extra 20,000 hours of ATM uptime across the BNZ network.
BMO Bank of Montreal plans to add more than 800 Cash ATMs to its network across Canada by the year 2014, bringing the network total to nearly 3,000 full-service and Cash ATMs. The new BMO Cash ATMs provide a fast and convenient way for customers to access their money, either through a withdrawal or cash advance. Also, surcharges and month-end Interac fees for BMO debit and credit card customers are waived. The ATMs are designed for cash-only transactions. BMO has also added the BMO Branch and ATM Locator function to the BMO Blue Room™ mobile app.

MoneyGram and Bank of China completed a three-year expansion of services across the Bank of China network. This allows customers access to MoneyGram’s services at any of the Bank’s more than 10,000 locations. MoneyGram and the Bank of China worked together to expand throughout Bank of China’s national network spanning urban cities and rural towns. China, with about $57 billion annually coming into the country, is the second largest recipient of money transfers globally thanks to the increasing global transience of citizens. Money transfers are available for receipt at Bank of China locations from any of MoneyGram’s 267,000 locations globally in as little as 10 minutes.
