Meta Payment Systems has selected Midco Connections to handle their customer support services. Meta Payment Systems is a national leader in the pre-paid card industry, issuing gift cards, travel cards and re-loadable prepaid cards for customers throughout the country. The customer service segment will assist Meta Payment customers with a full range of services, including providing account balances and transaction histories, setting and re-setting PINs, managing payments, and helping customers with lost or stolen cards, as well as answering questions and assisting with basic customer service needs, all on a PCI-DSS compliant platform.

ANX Granted Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) Status

ANXeBusiness managed security, compliance and connectivity solutions has been granted approved scanning vendor (ASV) status by PCI-SSC. This authorizes ANX to assist customers in meeting the PCI DSS requirement for periodic PCI Security Scans. Merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit credit card information are required to have periodic PCI Security Scans if they handle payment card data over IP networks. Even if an entity does not offer e-commerce, such functions as email and employee Internet access create opportunities for hackers seeking cardholder data to compromise the network. PCI Security Scans identify network vulnerabilities and are meant to be used in conjunction with an overall compliance program.

Global Payments Implements CRE Secure Payment

Global Payments electronic transaction processing services announced an agreement to incorporate CRE Secure’s HTML Clone technology within Global Payments’ Global Transport Secure eCommerce solution for the small to mid-sized business eCommerce segment. Global Payments’ merchants will be able to implement CRE Secure’s HTML Clone payment technology through Global Transport in North America and can outsource PCI-sensitive parts of the checkout process. As a result, the merchant’s systems are no longer within the scope of their PCI DSS compliance obligations, allowing a significant reduction in ongoing costs and providing a seamless checkout experience for their consumers.

ACI Worldwide Announces New iPad Game

ACI Worldwide payment systems announced its ‘ACI Challenge’ iPad game is now available for download for free from iTunes. The game ranks players from around the world, with high scores for ‘collecting’ the different components of payment processing with speed, accuracy and consistency — based on ACI Money Transfer System(TM), ACI Worldwide’s global payment processing solution. ACI released an updated version of the game as an app onto iTunes so it can be downloaded and played by anyone with an iPad or iPad2. At the Sibos event in Toronto, September 19-23, eligible attendees will be able to visit the ACI stand to play the game on dedicated iPads, and those with the best performance will get on to the leader board. The holder of the top score when the competition closes at Sibos will win an iPad2.

VASCO Launches PCI DSS Server

VASCO Data Security International software security company launched its “IDENTIKEY Server 3.3.” VASCO’s authentication server for strong user authentication and e-signature validation, “IDENTIKEY” is a comprehensive authentication server offering a one-time password (OTP) and e-signature validation with full management and reporting capability. Specifically for the banking industry the reporting tools in IDENTIKEY Server 3.3 have been extended so that more accurate analyses and reports can be drawn.

Ping An Bank Implements Fiserv Funds Transfer

Fiserv announced Ping An Bank has implemented the Fiserv solution for asset/liability management, liquidity management and funds transfer pricing. Ping An Bank required a bank-wide daily liquidity and interest-rate risk management solution that would also handle its regulatory reporting. In addition, the bank chose to replace its in-house funds transfer pricing solution, which lacked key functionality such as forward funds transfer pricing projection and analysis.

Payment Data Sees Record ACH Processing Month

Payment Data Systems electronic payments solutions provider announced that August 2011 set a record for transactions processed by the company. August’s ACH (electronic check) processing volumes were up 64% and ACH returned check transactions were up 50% compared to July of 2011. Credit card processing volumes for August were also the highest of any month in the previous three years. Credit cards dollars processed during the month were up 8% over July of 2011 and up 79% over August of 2010.

i2c to Provide Card Processing for Sodexo Solutions

i2c prepaid card processing and payment solutions has entered into an agreement to provide prepaid card processing services to Sodexo Motivation Solutions Quality of Daily Life Solutions. Sodexo Motivation Solutions will implement i2c’s “My Card Place” (MCP) global prepaid processing to administer their General Purpose Reloadable (GPR) and incentive gift card programs, Esteem Pass and Ultimate Pass. Esteem Pass, a Restricted Access Network card, and Ultimate Pass, an open-loop card, are offered to Sodexo Motivation Solutions’ clients as part of a comprehensive portfolio of reward solutions.
