Fiserv to Drive E-Bill Adoption

Fiserv announced the launch of E-bill Introduction, a new feature within the widely used CheckFree® RXP® payment suite. E-bill Introduction offers consumers an opportunity to receive electronic bills (e-bills) via their online banking service for an introductory period during which they also continue to receive paper bills in the mail. Pilots of the feature conducted with five financial institutions delivered solid results, with consumers enrolled in the pilot activating three times more e-bills than consumers who were not enrolled. E-Bill Introduction utilizes a 90-day introductory period to enable consumers who already pay their bills electronically to experience receiving e-bills at their financial institution firsthand. During this 90-day period the consumer receives an e-bill via online banking and a traditional paper bill in the mail. Following the trial period consumers can opt to continue receiving e-bills and turn off their paper bill, or the e-bill will be discontinued and the consumer will continue to receive a paper bill.

Text2Pay Launches mPayments for Online Dating

Mobile payments provider Text2Pay announced that participating dating websites will now be able to use the Text2Pay mobile payment platform to sell virtual gifts and dating goods to their users – easily and securely. Chase Sapphire Partners Pandora, Offers Personalized Music

Chase Card Services forged a partnership with Pandora radio service to bring summer-themed music to listeners from June 20 to September 4. In addition to 14 new summer-themed genre stations, listeners can experience the “Sapphire Summer Sounds” radio station, which brings the Chase Sapphire brand to life in an easily accessible playlist. Oberthur Acquires MoreMagic mPayments

Oberthur Technologies completed its acquisition of the mobile payments company MoreMagic. This partnership will create a comprehensive suite of mobile commerce and financial services solutions including a secured mobile wallet infrastructure and NFC end-to-end offer. This will help mobile operators, financial institutions and other non-telecom service providers to offer innovative services such as P2P transfers, mobile banking, proximity and remote payments. MoreMagic’s offer will be part of Oberthur Technologies’ solutions portfolio and will be available through its global sales network.

KAL ATMs Launches Cashless ATM

Global ATM software company, KAL, launched the Retail Teller Machine (RTM): a revolutionary cashless ATM which is set to transform branchless banking forever. Operating at one tenth of the cost of bank ATMs, RTMs do not dispense cash. Instead they print a unique voucher which is then exchanged for cash inside the same store. The retailer is immediately compensated by the RTM which executes a back-to-back transaction. This remits the dispensed amount into the retailer’s bank account. Running the same software as ATMs, the RTM provides a full range of banking services and even includes the ability for the customer to video conference with a bank call center.

Amazon Launches Portal for International Mobile Apps announced that developers can now submit apps for distribution this summer in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, with plans for further global expansion in the near future.
