A new solution has emerged enabling companies to fund and track corporate expenses by their employees through a convenient, cloud-based expense management system.
NCR announced that TSB is installing 80 new NCR SelfServ ATMs in just three months across Britain as it transforms its retail banking network to improve banking services for its customers. Located in communities that range from Aberdeen to the Isle of Wight and Swansea to Norwich, the ATMs being installed by NCR will be free to use and available before the end of April 2014. For people wanting to ‘check their cash and dash’, TSB ATMs will enable them to check their balance, withdraw cash and manage their PIN. The ATMs also offer a host of other services, including bill payment, ordering of postal statements and mobile phone top-ups. SelfServ ATMs are designed to create a bigger visual impact on the street, and deliver a faster service and a more engaging experience for consumers. In the future, the contactless card capabilities will allow customers to carry out small transactions quickly and securely, thereby decreasing transaction time, cutting down queues and improving service. In addition, the new NCR SelfServ ATMs are Windows 7 ready – an important feature with Windows XP support from Microsoft expected to end in April 2014.
Mobeam and Clutch released the latest mobile wallet enabled with Mobeam’s patented beaming technology. This new feature lets consumers use Mobeam’s technology to beam barcodes from their loyalty, membership, and gift cards directly from their smartphone to any laser scanner. Available now on the PCI SSC website, version 3.0 becomes effective on 01 January 2014. Version 2.0 will remain active until 31 December 2014 to ensure adequate time for organizations to make the transition. Changes are made to the standards every three years, based on feedback from the Council’s global constituents per the PCI DSS and PA-DSS development lifecycle and in response to market needs. Proposed changes for version 3.0 were shared publicly in August, and Participating Organizations and assessors had the opportunity to discuss the draft standards at the 2013 Community Meetings prior to final publication.

Fiserv announced Anchor Bank, has selected its “Premier” bank platform and a host of additional Fiserv solutions. The flexibility and integration of Fiserv products and services, plus enhanced efficiencies, is what the Bank found most appealing. In addition to selecting the Premier bank platform and outsourced processing services, the bank chose a comprehensive suite of Fiserv solutions, including CheckFree RXP and CheckFree Small Business for bill payment, Mobiliti for mobile banking, Business Online and Retail Online for online banking, WireXchange for wire transfers, AML Manager for anti-money laundering, Business Process Manager for new account and process management and the ACCEL/Exchange payments network. Anchor Bank will ultimately expand their digital banking capabilities with the addition of mobile banking and the enhancement of online banking and payment services for retail and business customers.
Ceridian workforce management, human resource management, payroll, and benefits administration solutions launched its mobile solution for Ceridian “InView” application. Providing users with mobile access to a variety of workforce management capabilities, “InView” is designed to improve scheduling and time and attendance accuracy, boost productivity and increase employee engagement while ensuring the right employee is working at the right location. The Ceridian InView mobile solution is available on the Google Android and Apple iOS platforms (including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch). This lets employees Clock in and out for shifts (geo location validated), manage time away from work and change availability while managers can view daily attendance, access a list of employee names and contact information and review and approve requests for time away.

Cardmembers enrolled in the American Express Middle East Membership Rewards Program can now redeem their points for Oman Air “Sindbad Miles,” American Express Middle East’s tenth airline redemption partner. The rewards program offers one point earned for every dollar- or equivalent- spent on the Card. Membership Rewards points do not expire and can be redeemed across a wide selection of reward categories including flights, hotels, dining and entertainment, a variety of merchandise, and charity donations.

MasterCard Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels have signed partnership agreements under which the Hyatt will participate in the MasterCard enhanced folio data program. With this, businesses that use MasterCard corporate cards will be able to access line item expense data from their travel and entertainment (T&E) activities at more than 12,000 hotels and resorts in the United States and Canada. The MasterCard hotel folio data program enables simple separation of personal and business expenses; gives companies access to “level 3” expense data, such as room charges, tax, meal, telephone and business center fees- all of which can be integrated directly into a company’s expense management system; and provides companies with the ability to more effectively track and manage corporate travel spending, reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

These recent addition to the Fiserv client list includes the Connects Federal Credit Union in Richmond, Va., which invested in the “Portico” account processing platform and selected the “AccountCreate” for online account opening; “CheckFree RXP” for online bill payment; “Loancierge” for loan origination; “Mobile Money” for mobile banking; “Wisdom” for asset liability management and “5300 Call Report” preparation; and “ZashPay” for electronic person-to-person payments.
