Moneris Solutions has inked EMV certification of Verifone’s line of unattended payment devices. With this certification, merchants can now adopt a secure unattended payment solution that can be deployed quickly and easily to ensure they are ready for EMV and NFC payment acceptance.
Ingenico has been awarded the first certification in France for an m-acceptance (or mobile acceptance) solution by Cartes Bancaires CB Group. M-acceptance consists in combining a payment solution with mainstream mobile equipment such as a smartphone or tablet, using both communication means and ergonomy to provide for embedded management and check-out applications. A transaction viewing portal has been made available to mCommerce retailers by Ingenico Group. Mobile bank card payments have risen significantly over the last few years. Ingenico Group is a pioneer in the m-acceptance sector with its payment solutions initially connected to the GPRS cellular network and more recently to the 3G network.
Fujitsu front-end solutions and Triton Systems ATMs and ATM management software announced they will offer the Fujitsu G60 bill recycling unit in the ARGO 7 ATM. The integrated solution will be on display in the Triton booth number 508 at the ATMIA 2014 US Conference in Orlando, FL. The ATMIA USA annual conference and expo is the largest ATM-focused event in the world and this year’s event marks its 15th anniversary. Triton’s ARGO 7 ATM features a color touchscreen, supports the eco-friendly option of sending SMS text, email or printed receipts, reducing each machine’s carbon footprint and resulting in cost savings over the life of the ATM. Also it can be configured with a business hours or level one safe and is EMV ready. The Fujitsu G60, with up to 1,900 notes capacity, features 4 recycling cassettes, 1 deposit cassette and 1 optional F53 loading cassette. The loading cassette increases up time and productivity by increasing capacities, start of day replenishment or providing an additional denomination when necessary.
Hermosillo has awarded Fujitsu the bid to furnish F50 bill dispensing units required by CFE, thanks to its compliance with the technical specification, pricing and country of origin requirements in the public bid. The F50 bill dispensing unit will be integrated into more than 1,000 CFE self-service utility bill payment kiosks, called CFEmaticos. The F50 bill dispensing unit, designed especially for the OEM channel, is a high-volume, single-denomination currency dispenser designed for integration into a number of applications and verticals. CFE began the rollout of their automated bill payment kiosks, including the F50 bill dispensing unit, to nearly 500 locations in December 2012.
USA Technologies wireless, cashless payment and M2M telemetry solutions completed an upgrade to its “ePort Connect” service platform to support USAT’s growing base of customers and the next generation of services and emerging M2M applications, such as mobile marketing and mobile payment. The upgrade incorporates network server technology in addition to proprietary software development that markedly increases capacity and allows USA Technologies to seamlessly “add on” capacity as USAT’s connected service base expands. USA Technologies reported preliminary data for the quarter ended 3/31/2012 that indicated its connected service base had grown to 148,000 cashless and M2M connections”double what it was two years ago. The upgrade enhances the ease with which devices can connect to USAT’s ePort Connect service, featuring search capabilities to make it easier to search and analytical data for logistics and inventory decisions aimed at saving smaller businesses the expense of investing in an additional reporting system.
Diebold will upgrade the Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union ATM fleet and provide a variety of integrated services. Diebold is replacing the credit union ATMs with 48 of its “Opteva” ATMs, most of which include Diebold’s leading deposit automation technology, and maximizing Denali Alaskan’s ATM uptime and reducing the credit union’s maintenance with remote and on-site services with its “Integrated Services” offering. These outsourced services will help the credit union provide a richer consumer experience and realize improved efficiencies with minimal capital investment.
Diebold Incorporated will install and integrate 12 new ATMs, including Opteva 522 and 562 cash dispensers, and Opteva 720 and 760 advanced-function terminals, into Switzerland’s Banca dello Stato del Cantone Ticino fleet of 50 ATMs. BancaStato operates 16 branches in the southernmost Swiss canton of Ticino. It is the largest cantonal bank in southern Switzerland. The ATMs feature enhanced note acceptors, which accept up to 50 mixed-denomination notes at one time, and “Agilis3,” Diebold’s global software platform. which provides integration of solutions and services in both multi-channel and multi-vendor environments.
Diebold and University Federal Credit Union are combining deposit automation technology with personal interactions in a teller-less environment. With this, University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) will soon offer a teller-less banking environment with plans to open three teller-less branches in the Austin, Texas region to offer independent, yet personalized, banking experiences. UFCU designed open, inviting branches and Diebold will provide a unique terminal that will combine self-service deposit automation technology with personal human interaction. UFCU’s custom-designed Diebold ATMs support envelope-free transactions in which users load cash and checks directly into the machine. Enhanced note acceptors accept up to 50 mixed-denomination notes, and intelligent depository modules process checks and bill payment documents.
Diebold is expanding with TX-based Union Square Federal Credit Union to deliver monitoring, remote services and enhanced security for its network of 21 ATMs and the addition of Diebold’s deposit automation technology to six of the credit union’s ATMs. With this, Diebold will improve the Credit Union’s security and provide its “Advisor ATM” status monitoring; “OpteView” remote services; its endpoint protection monitoring and software subscription management. Diebold upgraded the ATMs with new hardware that supports envelope-free transactions, including enhanced note acceptors (ENAs) and Intelligent Depository Modules® (IDMs).

Nordic Card Association Unattended Payment Terminal (UPT) approval of
the iX Pay Secure Payment solution on the “Global Star” and “Global
Ovation iX” fuel dispensers. The fuel dispensers include the Dresser
Wayne secure key pad with PCI version 2.0 Encrypting PIN Pad (EPP) and
allows fuel retailers to more aptly protect their businesses and
customers from card fraud. The PAN Nordic Card Association supports
banks and card issuers with standards and best practices that address
unique regional needs, building on the fundamentals of the globally
recognized PIN Transaction Security (PTS) standards administered by the
PCI Security Standards Council (SSC).
