Norway’s MeaWallet says it is looking for business partners that can develop the French market for mobile wallet as-a-service. MeaWallet has established technology and business partnerships with major players like IBM and Elavon, in addition to using licences from the world’s largest card networks for enabling standard based mobile payment services.
Sage Payment Gives Insight on Durbin Amendment
Sage Payment Solutions payments division for Sage North America and a multinational payment processor to small and midsized businesses (SMBs) has responded to the Federal Reserve Board’s December 16 publication of proposed rules regarding debit card interchange fees and routing under Section 1075 (Durbin Amendment) of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. In doing so, Sage disclosed regulatory impacts on payment networks can cause marketplace disruption from the potential for new bank fees placed on debit cards driving down debit card use and that it’s now most important small and midsized businesses look progressively at their payments environment for adaption to new marketplace environments. Sage Payment Solutions has been providing businesses and organizations with electronic payment systems for more than 20 years and provides electronic payment processing for more than 155,000 merchants.
Dazbog Coffee Deploys Mocapay mPayment
Dazbog Coffee multi-unit, multi-state gourmet coffee company has partnered with Mocapay and will launch its mobile platform initially at Colorado locations.

EM MICROELECTRONICS & NFC FORUM
EM Microelectronics integrated circuit developer has joined the Near
Field Communication (NFC) Forum to contribute initiatives in technology
products and services. Joining the forum, EM is now among existing
member companies from the mobile communications, consumer electronics,
computing and media sectors. The forum implements its solutions and
collective opinions through working groups that promote NFC adaption
and interoperability testing for contactless payment expansion. EM
Microelectronics produces low-power circuits for battery, battery-less
operating devices and RFID products in the smart card market. The
organization also produces LCD modules and offers bumping services
while the NFC Forum,a non-profit industry association is focused on advancing
the use of NFC technology by developing specifications and interoperability
with the contribution of over 130 global member companies.
P-Card Beefed-Up
Credit Card Solutions announced Wednesday the release of version 3.5 of the P-Card Solution. This new version includes many changes such as the ability to allocate to multiple account codes on a single transaction by either percentage or dollar amount, addition of a Find Order Info tool for cardholders, the capability to identify orders as partially received, and the ability to search by customer-defined categories for statistical and transaction reports. The P-Card Solution can be used regardless of the card provider or database engine.
